ANNOUNCEMENTS      

 

WELCOME TO THE PULPIT, REV. DR. ANDREW H. MANN, JR., D.MIN. Drew was born in Philadelphia in 1947 and graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1965.  He graduated from Bucknell University (BA in English Lit.) (1969), Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (1972) (M.Div.), and received his Doctor of Ministry from McCormack Theological Seminary (1981). His thesis was completed in Family Violence and Sexual Abuse, and resulted in the opening of the first state-certified shelter for battered women and children in upstate New York, the S.O.S. Shelter, Inc.. The shelter has served roughly 25,000 women and children. Drew retired August 31, 2014, after 42 years in the full-time pastoral ministry. Since retiring, he has served as the Transitional Minister at Overbrook Presbyterian, the Transitional Associate Minister for Older Adults and Pastoral Care at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian, and as the Transitional Minister of Northampton Presbyterian. Most recently, he completed nearly two years as pulpit supply at Bensalem Presbyterian. Drew now resides in Abington with his wife of 53 years, Meg (who is also a retired Presbyterian minister). They have a daughter, who is an active Ruling Elder at Chestnut Hill Presbyterian.      

           

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. For the months of May and June we will be collecting hygiene items. These items will include toothbrushes, soap, wash cloths, small tissue pack, combs, brushes, hair clips, hair ties, hats, etc.   This will change again in July and August.  We will continue collecting various items until November. Please drop items in the box located in the Narthex.
