Sermon Notes:

The first of a two-part sermon on sexual morality, this message focuses on some of the Scriptural arguments concerning the morality of homosexual sex.  Looking at this passage, we learn that Paul regarded sexual morality from a Jewish perspective and therefore understood sex between people of the same sex as immoral, although chapter 6 does not focus on homosexuality, but rather it focuses on prostitution.

The message also takes up the argument often put forward that Jesus never speaks about homosexuality.  Not only could it be said he does since the entire Bible is inspired by God, and Jesus is fully God, but it also seems that Jesus focused on those matters that his audience was wrong about.  Jesus silence therefore leaves in place the Jewish understanding on sexual immorality.

Part 2 will focus on the matter of sexual morality more broadly, and more positively.
