ANNOUNCEMENTS

ChurchFlowers.  Church flowers are available every week for only $15.00 per bouquet.  There is a sign-up sheet located on the Deacon’s Table in the Narthex.  Please also notify Rosemary Hargreaves re your flower request.

Disciples Basket.  Our pantry is in need of non-perishable food and other items for Thanksgiving.  If you are able and would like to help with our collection, there are many suggestions located in a basket in the Narthex.  Feel free to take one or more of the suggestions and place all donated items in the basket in the Narthex.   Monetary donations are also appreciated and can be placed in the offering plates during the service.  If you have any questions, contact Nancy Rakus at 215-659-6328.

Thanksgiving Eve Service.  Bethesda Presbyterian Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service at 7:00 on November 22.  Fox Chase Memorial Presbyterian Church and Elkins Park Presbyterian Church are also participating.  Rhawnhurst has been invited to join in.  Bethesda is located at 808 Red Lion Road.

Volunteers Needed.  We are looking for volunteers to assist in the Nursery during church worship time from 11:00am-12:00pm.  Anyone who volunteers would be on a rotating schedule with others and would be asked to help in the Nursery approximately once every 6-8 weeks depending on the number of volunteers.  No special skills are needed and please note that the entire service is also played in the Nursery so you do not have to miss it entirely.  Anyone who is interested, please see Amy Blau or place a note in the offering plate.

Children’s Ministry.  Children’s Ministry is looking for teachers for our Junior Church group (4 years old to 5th grade) during the service.  We have the materials, but are looking for those who can be in charge and convey the lesson plans to the children.  Anyone who is interested, please see Kathy McGettigan.

We welcome to the pulpit today, Deacon Cheryl Lafferty. Cheryl is a member of Redemption Lutheran Church and former Director of Rhawnhurst Turning Point. Cheryl is currently the Fund Development Specialist at Philadelphia Academies Inc.
