You have heard it said that if you can't be a good example at least you can be a horrible warning.  Well, Israel, on its journey through the wilderness to the Promised Land, is our horrible warning, of what can happen when fear overwhelms faith.

So close!  On the border of the Promised Land that God had been leading his people to since he gave Abram that first promise.  Only to reject it because of despair brought on by fear of the people already inhabiting the land.

Our lives are lived on the razor edge between faith and fear.  The people of Israel forgot the Words of God and the Works of God.  Let us remember his Words of promise to us in his Word, and his Works for us in the past...
